      Muscle car restoration.

Talk to me about muscle car restoration.

I want to get a 69 Camaro, 69 Chevelle, or a fastback Mustang. I built an Factory Five kit car but I think restoring a car is a whole different ballgame, rust, panel repacement, etc. I don't want to get in over my head. I've also heard that buying one already restored is cheaper than doing it all yourself...is that true? I think, being the type of person I am, I would like to do it myself. Then I would have the pride in knowing I did it myself and knowing it was done correctly. I don't necessarily want a numbers matching, concours car. I'm more into the pro-touring type car.

      What do you think?

      welcome to the site.

its not as bad if you start with a clean rust (as far as you can see) car and a model you can actually find parts for. Mustangs are great to start on because you can virually buy everything for it and a clean car is pretty resonable as far as price. Spending a bit more on a clean car will save you alot more money later.

Look for rust. Crawl in the trunk, look up, pull a rocker plate and carpet if need be. Look at the glass mounting surfaces. Look for bubbling or checking.

      Start clean and finish shiny.

If you do a mustang, another thing to check is the cowl, and frame rails in the rear!

You can also contract for a clean sheel to be built. We do a lot of painted rollers with all the sheetmetal finished, painted inside and out your colors. If you choose, mini tubed, smooth firewall, suspension installed. We can take it as far as you want. We can go to epozy primer and stop or go all the way to the end.

I have 67. 68 and 69 Camaro bodies in stock, and one 67 and 70 Chevelle in stock
