      Hotels in Parhump, none availible

There are three hotels in Parhump, NV and I just booked the last room availible for Nov. 5th. It's at the Nugget hotel. There are no rooms availible for Nov. 6th. The other two hotels are booked. Did OUSCI reserve a block of rooms for the event?

The room I got was a single king size bed, not what two guys want to have for a room.

There is a triatholon going on Sunday and there is a seniors bowling tournament that weekend along with OUSCI. The rest of the places are RV parks.

If anyone is going to cancel their reservations, could you please let me know?

      Thanks,
      Dennis

Keep calling. I hear there are other blocks of rooms for other events that will be released between now and then. I don't know where, how many or when so you might want to call once in a while.

Jody, when did you cancel? I called this evening just before posting the thread.

My wife won't be joining me on this trip, she would not be a happy camper at that place. I wouldn't hear the end of it.

No camping allowed... you'll have to sign a waiver when you arrive at the track to gain access... I live in Vegas near Red Rock and will be driving up on Saturday probably before the sun is up.....

If you want to camp out in Pahrump for free, I've got plenty of room in my yard. 2.5 acres

I'm in the same boat. Can't find a room but can camp out of my truck for Friday and maybe Saturday.

Adam, you better be careful, we may have a P-T.com and Lat-g.com camping party at your place!

a few days ago, apparently they're booked. I would keep checking daily, probably be more cancellations as people find out about the spectator restriction for optima.

Best Western is the place to be, a couple friends stayed there last year and said it was one of the nicest hotels they'd ever stayed in, as far as being clean and nice/new. The Nugget was bad, rooms had a bad odor, casino area is very smoky like the old school casinos, filters into the room. My room had false fire alarm that had me clearing the room at 1:00 a.m. The smell, so bad that I could not sleep the first night. They swapped me to a different room for the second night, but it wasn't a lot better.

That's fine by me. I've got plenty of propane, wood and marshmallows, just bring some chairs and snacks.

Adam, I may take you up on that. I'm officially in the OUSCI as of last night and am trying to figure out logistics.

I'll PM you with some questions. Thanks.

Keep me in the loop with that one too. If we can have a mini camp site, I think it would be a blast. I've got plenty of camping supplies.

I think the Nugget gives a bumper dumper w/each room rental. The joint we stay at last year was a dump also. So much cig. smoke spent 20 buck's on air fresheners.

The info we got is if you tell the hotels you are coming for the optima Challenge they have rooms blocked off for the event.
You can call the Best Western 866-713-9688 or Saddle West at 800-433-3987.
