I have to give a HUGE thanks to the man that made it Run, go, and stop.

Bill at Independent Speed Shop in Langley. He wired the 1UZ, wired the whole car beautifully, plumbed all the brake lines, the hydraulic hand brake, and basically made everything work.

If not for Bill, this project would be WAY behind, and lacking a ton of motivation. The guy is definitely one of the best around. He makes it look easy.

      Thanks Bill!

Very nice! Do you know what a contour gage is? it would really help replicating the fender flares...

Yes, that is exactly what I need. I might just make templates out of card stock if I can't find a contour gauge locally.

Little more detail in the glass fender creation:

Started with styrofoam and spray foam:

Then many many layers of body filler to get the profile perfect.....then many coats of primer which gave me this plug:

Wax it 10 times, add PVA mold release, then gel coat....then start laying glass and resin:

after a few days of pissing around....its time to pop the mold:

      Thanks Dave

Ok, so I have this idea that if I go drifting in this car, I don't want to rebuild the 1/4 panels if I tap a wall.....

So I took what I know about building bumpers that survive short course racing....My truck bumpers are original, and I have personally destroyed or bent at least 3-4 rear bumpers from people in front of me

And applied it to this car, with a touch of hot rod, and a dash of concealment....

      The tube:

      The plan:

      The application:
