anyone know a firebird called code red?

I was at the pontiac nationals a few weeks back and there was a pro-touring car, it was a 72 firebid I think, any ay the name of the car was "Code Red"
Does anyone know who owns it? or how to get in contact with the owner or builder?
I have some questions about the car, the interior specifically, and would like to talk with him if possible.

      Thanks,
      Chris

No, Code Red is a '72 firebird. It's owned by Bob Bertelsen - good guy. It was in the Street Machine of the Year parking area at Good Guys (Columbus). You can see some pics at http://www.lateral-g.net/forums/show...=Bob+Bertelsen

I was at Pontiac Nationals, parked about 10 cars down from him with my GTO.

I don't think I have his contact info. If you really need to get in touch with him, try contacting Jason Rushforth. I think either Jason or the guys at RPM in Wexford, PA might have his info.

Oh, I also just remembered - I think he owns the following business. You could try contacting him there....

I was about six or so cars down from him as well at the nats with the car in my avitar 67 pro street firebird.
I loved the leather on his roll cage, awesome look , I want to do it to mine but in black leather. I have been looking intro it and it looks time consuming but not that hard, I may try it over the winter!

      Thanks Guys!!!

Only thing to be careful about with covering the cage with leather is if you ever track the car. Some tech inspectors will refuse to pass you on tech if the cage is not exposed.

I did the interior in Bob's Firebird. Cool car!!! I can answer any question you have about the upholstery. Attached is a pic of the dash "in progress" working from Rushforth's design. ....

Thanks for the kind words on the roll bars! That was Bob's idea...FWIW, you go crossed eyed hand stitching them!!! Shawn @ Appleman Interiors.

Where can I get leather like what you used on the cage, only black? Also what is the screen in the center of the dash? Chris

Hey Chris... I don't wanna sound like I'm spamming. But I can get the leather for you...or it is available from Miami Rubber. The leather line is called Caprone. The screen is just Stainless steel mesh available from McMaster Carr. Bob supplied it and power coated it to match everything else. Hope that helps. Shawn

Does the leather come in whole hides? Or do they sell you what you need, like strips? Email me at moparcolt@msn. We can talk about it more! Thanks
