Any way to set needle position correctly on tach?

Stock tach on an 86 Monte SS, anyone know if there is a known voltage that I can apply to it so I know what RPM it is supposed to be on at that voltage? Mines seems to be off around 300RPM.

Nope different problem. I have taken the needle off, & want it better than "close".
