New Member Outside the Norm, AMX!

Found this site the other day and really like it!

I have a '71 AMX I have owned since new which I transformed from stock to a sort of combination Resto/Mod/Pro/Touring car about 12 years ago.

I lowered it an inch or so, upgraded the suspension including quick ratio steering, added 16 x 8 Halibrand 5 spokes on B.F.G. G Force tires and installed a spare AMC 420 HP AMC 360 built by Doug Rippie Motorsports. Brakes are stock Disc/Drum for now but Wilwood recently used this car to Prototype 4 wheels discs for AMC's. Over it's life, the car has been to Daytona, Sebring, Road America and the old Donnybrooke track. Lots of memories! The action photo is from Brainerd Intl. Raceway doing 120 MPH in Turn One in 1995 when the car was stock.

I have a friend in Colorado that just finished a "Killer" Pro/Touring '73 AMC and he has posted it here.
