Here are a couple short videos of the Crush (1970 Mark Donohue Javelin) and the Silver Steak (1973 AMX) that TorqueDork referenced above. Also, here is a picture of the engine on the Crush...

      Wow,... Just wow.

Love the red stripe on the bottom trim piece. Love it all. Gotta show this to my dad, he has a 73 AMX.

Didn't see a spec on the tires anywhere, what size are they?

Also did you cut up an re-chrome the bumpers? I noticed they fit way better than my dads do. I'd like to make them fit better.

I didn't cut up the bumpers, just went to a little effort to find ones that hadn't been treaked. I did one rear bumper and it didn't fit right, so i had to find a second one. That one fit a lot better.

The tires are Kuhmos front are 245/45/17 and the rears are 285/40/17. The front wheels are 17 X 8's 4.5" backspace and the rears are 17 X 9.5's with 6.5" back space,.

Cool car. What I love about it is that it is different. Extremely clean looking and looks well built. Nice job.

As for Mark Donahue I agree something he might have built. My dad (RIP) named me after Mark Donahue. Ive done some research on him as I was named after him and man that guy is a legend.

Very nice car though. I like to see the cars that might be considered thinking outside the box.

There used to be a video on youtube about one of those State Trooper cars running down a GTO Judge and into the ditch!

I have a friend at Milodon and they are coming out with and bringing back a newly engineered Road Race Oil Pan for AMC engines and say it's top notch! Great for Track Days! Should have photos in about a week.

that sounds great. I'm in the market for one for my American Iron javelin project. is it better than the canton or aviad pans?

Believe it or not, the co-owner of Milodon was at my house today crawling underneath my car, taking photos double checking some things to make sure there will be no header clearance issues anywhere especially regarding external lines and "Yes", they say it will be better than both the Canton and Aviad pans! They should be wrapping things up next week.

Both are very nice looking, well executed cars, I'd be proud to have either (or both) of parked in my garage.

What I enjoy most about those two cars is how awesome they're built yet how subtle looking they are.

Just a note. The head Engineer at Wilwood has started the process for Wilwood Brake kits for both front and rear for AMC's. My car was over at Wilwood a few months ago and things are underway.

That makes me wish I still had my '70, so bad it hurts.

This will be going in over the winter. Upgrade to rack and pinion steering and more adjustable set-up should help it to carve the corners even better
