72 cutlass wanting to add buckets

      All,
I am wanting to get rid of the bench seat in my car and go with buckets. I ran across a yard sale and brought some power cloth buckets seats, with the sliders attached. My question is will this work in my car the seats appear to be out of a ford taurus maybe 200-2007, and they are in perfect condition got them for $30.00 dollars. So the million dollar question is will they work in the Cutlass. So did I waste 30.00 dollars?

you need to source some late model boneyards. There is no reason unless it's a rare resto job to pay through the nose for OEM style buckets when late model stuff is SO much nicer. For example, in my 80 Cutlass, I found a dark grey set of front and rear seats which have the fronts heated and power, and with buiult in seatbelts near the headrests and the rear seat and little matching headrests (imagine BMW) along with a center armrest which folds down in the middle....all this from an early 90's Olds Toronado Trofeo and I paid $60 for all of it. Super comfy, leather and way modern looking in my 80 Cutlass project. Out of another Toronado (1992 I think) I even found a floor shifter identical to the 68-72 A-bodies but with a dark grey leather wrapped top section...very cool! I've always loved those shifters!
I'd say search your local yards and look for an interior scheme to build around and go from there.
