Idiot Light stays on!!!

I have a 68 chevelle with a 327.. has HEI Distributor with the MSD 6-al set up.

I just recently did the cs-144 140amp alternator conversion.

Now i started the car 4 times and it shut off fine.. the 5th time it didn't shut off this time.. I had to pull the power wire to the 6al box.. now i notice the battery light stays on to this time.. I didn't have this problem with the MSD ignition before..


2 days later...

I installed the diod that msd calls for in there book and the stupid light is still on!!! this light is on with the key on or off!!! any ideas?
