Vintage air? Good/bad? Options

Hi Guys,

I am looking to put air into a 69 GTO with a 2005 GTO LS2 swap put in. (car is not complete yet....drivetrain is in but not running yet...no interior yet) The car is a non air car. I hear that the original compressor that the 2005 GTO had will not work with a Vintage air kit? Anyone have any experience with Air install with a LS2 conversion? Any advice would be appreciated?

Call Frank at Prodigy Customs(407 832 1752), he can hook you up with everything you need and he knows what will and what will not work. He just got me a Vintage Air Gen IV for a '67 Camaro (non-factory air car with AME subframe and LS-1) he was able to substitute some of the vents for much cooler looking ones. (BTW. if you need an aluminum radiator/fan combo for your LS, he has access to a killer unit that is cheaper than a BE-COOL unit)

In reference to Vintage Air, hands down - the best. I have an older unit (Gen. 2 with cables) in my '69 Chevelle with a radical big block and it blows cold.

We run Vintage Air units in all of our cars. I just drove Velocity to the Louisville Street Rod Nationals in 102 degree heat...inside it was a comfy 75 degrees. My glasses steamed up when I got out.
I also truly enjoy sitting in the staging lanes of an autocross with the windows up and the air on.

Vintage Air, Gen IV is the best. I have it in the charger and love it. Luckily the factory compressor from Mopar works with the vintage air so I scored on that. Like Bret, I love sitting in line with the air on. I know on Power Tour at the autocross, it was steaming, but I was cool with the air on.
