Hahahaha, great meeting you guys as well! And great drive to the 2:10's Gaetano!

I'm flying out to CO on Friday to drive the '67 home, I may have to put some Hoosiers on and see what her 370hp can do sometime ;)

I just wanted to chime in and say it was great to meet everyone.
the 55 did better than i expected it to, and besides a little gas leaking from the cap there is not much to change. Not bad for a first real test.

Thanks John, I was going so fast that last session I experienced brake fade for the first time and my tires were getting so loose I drfted through turns 3 and 4. My fastest time was 2:10.125 and I had the line nailed. Dont know if I can get anymore out of her. I chose 2:10 as my target time becaase there was a 2007 Z06 running 2:05's on Hoosiers last time I was there. The in car video of that last session will be posted on Hot Rod Magazines web site in about a week.

Hi Steven, thanks, video was of my fastest session. We lined up per lap times from previous session and I passed about 4 cars so video should be cool. Might even show when I got two tires off in turn 1. Yeah, I was on R888's.

Both, got onto the inside of someone deep into one, turned in tight and was two off on the left hand, then turned into two. It was sketchy, but it was cool and I was surprised I pulled it off.

Nice. Ya, I almost put 2 off under braking into 1 trying to use the whole track (and the berm), almost didn't work out for me a couple times

LOL, thats funny, sketchy when it happens, but cool when you pull it off. I almost lost it last turn on track before the straight due to brake fade and braking too deep, that was probably the scariest for me. That was definitely the best time I've had in a long time. My last lap, last session, my tires were so loose I drifted through 3 and 4. That should be on the video to. After that I shut it down and came in. There was no way I was going to improve my times in that condition.

hah, tell me about it. When I finally put the Hoosiers on, the traffic was ridiculous (including one of the GTR's literally parking it in the S's right in front of me); and then once i cleared them all i was out of fuel. ughh. after i came in and realized how hot it was i wasn't that upset about only getting 5 laps that time :o

Sorry you missed it, we were all hoping you'd be there and lots were asking where you were. Speed Ventures is having another one there October 23rd and 4th but I'm tapped out and need to hit the lotto before I see another track day.

OK, not to rub it in, but Hot Rod magazine was there and were all gonna be in it.

Yeah, definitely bummed I missed it too. My tranny fluid was definitely a cool chocolate milk color though, lol. The credited me full price for a future event too, btw.

Great video! My dad and I started talking about getting another set of wheels that will accommodate more rubber for him to use on days he's not restricted to those roller blades. I think with more rubber his car can be competitive in NASA SU.

      Nice driving too

Only prob with SU is that there aren't enough guys, but would still be fun to run. I say take the motor out of the vette and put it in your '67 Camaro. Then put the '67 Camaro motor in the vette and run TTA. Then you could win some Hoosiers with the vette.
