The ULTIMATE AFX Drop Spindle | The Gorman Performance Engineering GP-X Drop Spindle

Since this has generated the most buzz and inquiries after announcing our revamped product line, we figured it would be a good place to start with our product spotlights!
Introducing the GP-X Series AFX Billet Drop Spindle.

If you’re building a serious street machine or a track weapon based on a GM A, F, or X-body platform, your factory spindle geometry is holding you back. The GP-X Series billet drop spindle from Gorman Performance Engineering was created to eliminate those limitations, offering precision, performance, and tuning flexibility that other spindles simply can’t match.

CNC machined in-house from 6061 billet aluminum, our GP-X drop spindle delivers a proper 2-inch front drop while maintaining ideal suspension geometry. Unlike lowering springs or adjusted coilovers, this spindle doesn't compromise control arm angles, roll center position, or camber gain.

What Makes It a Game Changer

True 2-Inch Drop with Correct Geometry
Lower your car the right way. Maintain proper suspension dynamics and avoid the geometry issues caused by traditional lowering methods.

      Built-In Bump Steer Correction
Integrated bump steer correction helps minimizes the number of tie rod spacers needed.

      Adjustable Upper Ball Joint Pocket
Fine-tune roll center height, camber gain, and kingpin inclination independently. No need to swap out different length ball joints or excessive control arm shimming! This means you can dial in the setup for your car and aren’t locked into a single geometry like with every other drop spindle on the market!

      Integrated Caster Measurement Pad
Each spindle includes a machined surface for measuring caster angle with any digital angle finder. Set your alignment quickly and accurately at home or at the track. No more turning the wheels and doing a bunch of complicated math to figure out your caster.

      C6/C7 Corvette Brake Compatibility
The spindles can be optioned to accept either C6 or C7 Corvette calipers and rotors, unlocking high-performance braking with a wide range of upgrade options.

      Corvette Unit Bearing Hub Integration
Built around the C6/C7 Corvette hub for strength, reliability, and functionality in demanding environments. They can be ordered bare (no wheel hub), with C6 ZR1 hubs (for those who need wheel speed sensors), or a C7 hub (for those who don’t need wheel speeds).

      Premium ARP Hardware
All GP-X spindles come assembled with ARP fasteners for superior strength and long-term durability.

      About the GP-X Series
The GP-X Series is the pinnacle of design and technology at Gorman Performance Engineering, an elite line of components crafted from exotic materials like billet aluminum, advanced composites, and aerospace-grade alloys. Engineered for those who demand the absolute best, GP-X parts blend art and science to deliver ultra-high performance with show-stopping aesthetics.Name: DSC_9776-2.jpg

Awesome stuff. Looking at your website they're not nearly as expensive as I would have though for two big, beautiful pieces of billet. With all the tech built in I can see how these are going to be in demand parts for high quality builds, nice work!

Thank you! We put a lot of thought into implementing as many features as possible, while still trying to keep the price in the ballpark of other aluminum drop spindles.

Are there any plans to make a G-Body version? There's only two that I'm aware of. One is ridiculously expensive and the other only upgrades the brakes and bearing and does nothing for correcting geometry.

Edit: NVM. I just saw the price of the A-Body versions and they aren't far off the other brand.
