Need some tips for safety at RTTC events.
I've decided to make the next Run to the Coast event my goal for getting my car going. Doesn't leave much time, and I may not make it, but it's also the kind of event I want to set my car up for.
I want to be able to run the car in these types of events and drive it on the street as well safely.
I read Bill's thread on the RTTC section, and of course Steve's thread on safety has given me some ideas.
Any suggestions with out going full race? Stuff a new guy would over look?
3pt belts are a given, I plan to bolt a fire extinguisher in reach once I figure out a secure way.
Will I need a battery disconnect?
What other things can I do to insure I pass tech? This will be a street car, so the negatives of a full cage, like head injury in a fender bender make it not an option. However, in the interest of safety and the install of a bar, there will be no rear seat.
Whose roll bar should I look at? I plan on some Corbeu seats and 5 pts.Thomas
