Definately two full days on Gingerman! The autox was fun, but there are parking lots everywhere and only one place has Gingerman!

Great idea Charley. I'll second that one. Everyone wants to hang out on Saturday night anyway. Why not do it at the track.
From the sounds of some other posts I don't think anyone wants to go back to the sand. That stuff got in everywhere and did some damage to a few cars.

I'll third that, we do just this at our local track. Race hard all day, then de-compress while bench racing, eating and drinking, good times.

As much as I like the autocross the road course is what does it for me now so 2 days of that would be the ticket.

I also love the idea of a BBQ at the track Charley, Being able to wind down versus having to hop in the car and drive back to hotel would be nice.

Well, I'm pretty new to the scene, but I'm all about two days at Gingerman. That's as long as it's Friday and Saturday... Keep Sunday for the auto-x. The differences in the two events are what the pro-touring movement is all about. I really like the BBQ at the track plan, but on the other hand, driving the cars on a cruise is showing everyone that we do indeed own street cars. If we stay at Gingerman for Saturday and Sunday and eat there also, we'll have the guys who show up with full blown race cars in trailers with no intent on street driving. Just let me know either way, because I'm pretty sure that if I take my back seat and speakers out I can become competitive... (my attempt at humor)

      Tommy,

You had no competition. As a family, Deb, Sam and yourself had more fun than the law allows. Hanging with you guys added greatly to my fun. Hope to do it again next year.

2 days at Gingerman...sounds like quite a few of you now have what I call a road racing crack habit! LOL

I too support the 2 day idea and would like to see the run groups extended to at least 15mins. Maybe with the groups bit larger so we don't have 8 or 9 groups to work through. But none the less, great event and I'd come back even if nothing changes and be very happy to be there.
      Thanks, Mike

I will add to the total of wanting this.

It goes with the age old addage " while we are all here we might as well..."

Have a Bar -B-Q or better yet a Beer B-Q if it can be allowed?

I really like the idea of Friday and Saturday at the track and a day of fun at the auto x !!! That would make saturday much better for everyone after thinking about friday and what they need to do to have more fun going faster.

It can all stay the same for me if it makes it work. It is more important to me just to see everyone.

OK I made it home and have work back under control ( I think )
Thanks to all the people that made this event possible. I know it was a lot of work for a lot of people. This is my big event for the year and it could not of gone better.
I want to thank a few people that were a big help to me. Mike and Herb for letting me follow them the last 300 miles or so. Mike also picked up the alternator for me on Saturday night wile I took the car apart. Gregory and Todd for helping me try to get through the cones. Boy do I need more help. Matt for letting me stay in their room.
Thanks to all the guys that jumped in for a ride with me and let me go out in their cars. It was a blast ridding in some awesome cars and helping some very capable drivers with great car control learn the line. I love to be on the track and got to make a lot of laps on Saturday from one side or the other.
It was a honer to get to go out on the track with the top 6 cars. They are all very awesome cars and at the top of the Pro Touring world.
And last but not least, Charley for letting me take Jack Ass for a ride. It was a honer to get to drive such a awesome car. I new the power was going to be unbelievable but the way the car drove was even more impressive. My hat goes off to Charley and Mark for building such a awesome car. Some one back me up on this. ( I did drive the car? ) Tell me it was not a dream.

      Thanks again Randy

I never saw Randy drive Jackass, but someone was pulling holeshots outside my room Sat. night. Whatever it was, had a supercharger whine, and it sounded nasty. Man was that a fun weekend. Ron

Thanks Scott and every one involved. I had a great time again. I too am a autocross fan, so I would like that to stay part of the event. I'm all for a BBQ at the track on Saturday, I'm usually there late anyways.

Glad to help Randy. Wish I had thought to get you in my car at Gingerman. You surely would have helped me get around the course faster. Come down to VIR on the 23rd and drive my car in the UTCC.
I need a driver with a comp. license.

      Hi Mike

I meant to try and get in with you but lost track as the day went so fast with all the cars. I would love to drive your car but only have a instructors license.

      Hi Charley

I am pretty sure I drove your car. What time did you start drinking? I thought this may be why you gave me the keys in the first place.
I hope I do not have to start pitching the Pamela Anderson story to explain to my wife why I was so excited!!!!!

      Thanks Guys Randy
