offset shifter for stock 69 console?

hey guys

i installed my tko600 into my 69camaro a couple weeks ago and now i´m starting to finish my interior. it was a former automatic car so i need to change the console parts. i already have the plastic tunnel and the shifter boot for 69 console so there´s just the console plate that´s left. can i use the standard console plate with the shifter that came on my tremec or do i have to buy an offset shifter cause it looks like the stock stuff is moved farther to the driver side?
i already searched and found info on offset shifters not fitting keisler kits and just turning the shifter half way around to fit the console. just don´t want to spend 300bucks to find out it still doesn´t fit then i´d rather tell my buddy to fabricate a plate.
