DS&E Front coilover and AFX spindle

      Hi all,

Need a little help, as the AFX spindles are quite expensive I want to get this right first time.

I have a DS&E coilover front setup on my '68 Camaro, which AFX spindle should I use, tall or stock?

Intended use for the car: street and track days.

Thanks in advance for the help

Mark I would use a tall spindle to improve your geometry. Have you seen our Pro Billet™ Tall Spindles? Just thought I would let you know of another option for you.

      Go with the tall.

Im going to step out side the box, and say stock.

But if i was you i would call DSE and talk to them.

According to ATS you should use the stock version if you have the dse coilover. This is a quote from the ATS website under faq.

I have the Guldstrand Mod or DSE coil over system on my car. Which AFX spindles should I use?
We recommend the stock version of the AFX spindle for use on the F body in these instances. A tall spindle could be substituted in the event of a race only vehicle, as the camber gain is too aggressive for street driving.

I have been looking to purchase but all the dealers I have found are on back order till late June. Have you found someone that has them instock?

Agreed. The DSE Coilover kit already incorporates a geometry change intended to improve camber gain. By using the tall spindle, you're doubling up on "corrections." Go with the stock height spindle.

You have already made the suspension geometry correction by doing the DSE coil over mod. You could buy the ATS stock height spindles which are cool (and clearly recommended by ATS for your application) OR you could spend this money elsewhere. Yes the ATS spindles are stronger and cooler but even you said they were expensive. You can always go with a KORE3 kit if you are looking to run corvette brakes on stock spindles. Just a thought.
