      mid-engined, olds-powered...68 camaro?

      waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiitttt what?

Certainly an interesting idea, if the execution's a bit...awkward...

figured I couldn't be the only person who missed this back in 1999.

That is one of the meanest looking F-bodies I've ever seen, and I would have never thought to use a toronado transaxle for a mi-engine car, it's a bit genius!

      Yuck.

A number of years ago I saw a Chevelle that had an Olds 455 in back AND one in the front.

I loved the idea, but something about the proportions looks a little odd. It's a good example of how easy it is to do lots of body mods, and end up looking worse. People have been looking at 1st gen camaros so long it is near impossible to make those kinds of body mods and it be an improvement.

I remember that car, and I believe at the time Hot Rod said it would be the LAST time they featured a 67-69 Camaro (there was a lot of bitching about it being all Camaros)... Guess it didn't really work out that way, did it?

ummm...I´ve been asking if anyone knew more info about this car for literally years! haha! Well, I guess it finally showed up. I remember seeing it in Florida when Power Tour was just getting started. It looked amazing! It is-was called Camaero.Any more info on it? I took pics (actual film ones) but nothing of the engine bay.

Ya, I think my dad still has that issue. I remember reading all about it. I think I actually saw it in person on a PT.

Yea, think I remember reading about it too. Think it would look alot better with a stockish grill/headlights, bigger wheels, and maybe uncut wheel wells. Cool idea, but.... lol. However, that has been over 10 years ago...

Kind of a cool car. The way out of round front wheel opening, and ugly grill treatment always turned me off.

      Look over!

I looked the car over some years ago. I lot of really nice fabrication but the question I had was WHY? Had to be really heavy.

I don't think its the same car.
I'm not sure what its for because I don't know enough about race cars but considering it was built by a chassis fabricator it must do it well. So it doesn't look great by today's standards, the ingenuity is pretty awesome. Like it was said above, different wheels and tires and nose, maybe a lighter engine, lose the phone and it might just be a wicked ride. Has anyone seen it in action or have video?
