Just picked up a 67 Firebird.

I just got a 1967 Firebird the other day. I am in Afghanistan right now and came across a great deal from a friend so I had the wife pick it up. It had been in the same family since birth and just turned the odometer and now shows 2,XXX miles. It came with all the original paperwork and documentation. In the future I plan on pulling the drive train and storing, then upgrading to a 6.0LS with an auto tranny for the wifey. The only bad that I know of is the brand new passenger door that is black. I also don't like the vinyl top and who knows what condition the roof is under there.

Looks pretty sharp as it is. I'd paint the door and enjoy it for a while.

      BTW- Thanks for your service!

I think you will be happy with this car. They obviously cared enough to replace the whole door skin instead of trying a shoddy patch job. good luck with the build and keep your head down over there!!

Not sure of the entire condition of the car or if it's a numbers match, but with 2k miles on a survivor I'd consider keeping it stock and wait for the economy to improve. You could end up getting a bundle for it!

"just turned the odometer and now shows 2,XXX"

Its 102,000, still very clean. I thought it was 2k the first time I read it as well.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I just might keep this stock for a while because the 99 Camaro will be getting a front mount turbo kit soon.
