New to the board and new to the business

Hi folks, I am somewhat new to the board. I registered a while back but this is my very first post (I think). I love the Pro-touring style a lot and have wanted to build a ride for myself for a long time. That build will have to wait however as I have decided to try my hand at building cars for a living. So after many years of speculating we are finally taking steps on starting a new business. I am doing this with my big brother as well as a good friend. We may also involve a few more (very) key players to the mix as well.

We still have a ways to go but we are planning things very carefully to be sure that we hve a good chance at being successful. We just took the leap by buying a property onto which we'll be building a new shop. That shop's size and design is ever evolving as we are planning to do the building in stages and expand into new space as needed.

Many of the projects on this forum are just so amazing I only hope that we will be able to build cars at the level of quality and design that I have seen here.

So if anyone has any decent advice on starting up such a business...well I'm all ears!

      Thanks!

Although I am a newbie here myself. WELCOME!

I think a key to starting a venture like you are is having some of your work to display so people can see first hand what you do and how you go about doing it. Without that it may be pretty tough.

Do you have any cars you have built to share? It takes a lot of experience to get to the point of a lot of the cars here. About as much talent here as I have seen on any board/forum. Good luck with your venture.

The partnership we have have built hundreds of cars collectively. So yeah we have built a few. We plan to build a "halo" car once we get our new facility completed.
Once we get a car picked for our first halo car I'll be posting the build pics here.

      Roger Welcome!,
find a project car or cars and start a build thread(report every modification and step with pictures) panel replacement, body work, interior, drive train, suspension, paint and then bring it out to the many events!
