      92 Z28 camaro runs rough

hey guys i been in this engine for a while now this car has been running rough since it was brought to me i changed new plugs new fuel filter with oem delco gm parts tps sensor and the car still runs like crap stalls when in gear and sounds like it has a miss now the previous owner had changed the wires and they still new changed 6months ago now the only thing i am thinking is that there is a missed wiring number on the plug what do you think and does anyone have the firing order for this car thanks mach1.

It is the same on all small/big block chevys 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2

Here's a link to how it should be.

If after you check this and the timing and you still have the same symptoms I would look at the valvetrain. Have you done a compression test ? What do the plugs look like?

Did you change the cap? They can crossfire in the cap and miss like that.

Did this year engine have that optispark crap? They're prone to faults aren't they?

Optispark didn't show up on a Camaro until 93 on the LT1. 92 was still the TPI.

That is one long sentence yeah thirdgen.org can probably get you headed in the right direction they know the third gen cars real good and will help if they can figure out the question

There are a few things to check.

Is the check engine light on?

Fuel pressure would be one of the first things I would check.
