Need Help Pranking Friend

I would rather mess with his home than the car, you can have me clean the house, ha, ha!, but mess with the car and it's personal.
That being said, here are a few:
- unscrew all lightbulbs
- saran-wrap the toilet, put seat back down...
- cream on toilet seat
- put sand between the sheets on bed
- short-sheet the bed
- remove all labels from all cans in pantry
- KY on phone earpiece, door knobs, fridge handle, etc
- put car on blocks just 1/2" off the ground
- axle grease on the wiper blades

This one is with your judgement: get some Valerian Root capsules at health food store, open/pour 1-2 capsules onto a small paper plate, put it UNDER the refrigerator, or even in the defrost tray in the bottom of the fridge if it has one.
It smells like dog-drool and toe-cheese, REALLY disgusting. Do NOT put some down the cowl on a car, it will ruin the car, and it gets musky in humid areas, it's the gift that keeps on giving... :

Post an ad on Craigslist for his car with his phone number as a contact. Put some ridiculously low price on it with some phony reason why the car's for sale. Have fun with this ...

The best prank I ever did sort of involved just this. We were at a car show and my brother-in-law, Thom, decided to prank me by putting his business card in my car with the words "Love your car. Name your price" on the back. After looking at the card and thinking about this for a nanosecond, I decided to prank another member of our car club and put the business card in his car, a '69 Z28. I told Dave and a couple of other friends but kept mum to everyone else. We watched and waited ... and finally Pete, the owner of the Z28, looked inside and saw the card.

Unbeknownst to me, Pete took it quite seriously. Strutting around, waving the business card saying how he was going to make the guy sweat before he called him back, he was thinking this was his future meal ticket to some very cool automotive stuff. This went on all evening and I kept throwing strong hints that he should just call the number on the card as I wanted to really pull a fast one on my brother-in-law by having this perfect stranger call him out.

Pete never followed through that night and I also forgot about the card. Never even talked about it to Thom, either. I guess Pete finally called Thom and quickly realized he wasn't going to sell his Camaro for big coin nor was going to be able to buy the cars he'd already kinda verbally committed to after this "Sale of the Century" went down. I caught hell at the next club meeting and don't think Pete's ever forgiven me even after four whole years. Even with all that, I'd do it again in a heartbeat given half the chance.

It was pretty funny ...

However, when a guy ticked me off in highschool, I got in his car thru the hatch and chained his two door pulls together. Just ran a chain from one side to the other an laughed my butt off as he tried to open one door.... then the other.

A buddy did the floor Jack under the rear and the guy ended up spitting the trans! Kept on going half throttle and the car would not move, then going from drive to reverse and park and such, all with tire speed! Lol

ping pong balls in the gas tank would work on older cars. Put a locking gas cap on it for him! Unplug a couple fuses under the dash.

If all else fails I might just copy his car key and screw with his head for a year or so. I'll start small with changing all his radio stations to chinese stations, readjust his seat, move the car to the next parking space, or leave the car in second gear instead of first. I think I could keep that going for a year.

Here are a few relatively harmless ones that we have done.... all after 5:00 of course!

Wire the horn to the brake light switch. Everytime he steps on the brakes, the horn comes on.

Disconnect the stereo right before a long road trip.

Pour a bunch of different fluids under his car (when parked) to make him think it is leaking. If you're good, you can keep it going for a few days.

"Sponsor" his car. We get tons of free stickers that come with parts. Gather up enough and cover all of the side and back windows with stickers like he was in NASCAR. Then put a few for him to find later like on the gas cap, under the hood, on the tops of the sun visors.... it keeps the fun going for a long time until he finds them all.

Get some extra hose and re-route the lines for the windshield washers into the car. Usually go through the passenger side door (weatherstrips allow enough room to get it through with out pinching the hose). Aim the hose at the driver seat. Cut a small piece of hard brake line and smash one end to make a sprayer/nozzle Then smear something on the windshield and enjoy.

We got real creative with this one and have run them throught he dash and out the a/c vents, or you can try going through a sunroof and mounted the nozzle in the visor for a direct face shot.

The level of these pranks is pretty wide. I wouldn't mess with another guys car in any way that was close to permanent or dangerous.

However, if someone pisses me off (which isn't easy) or pranks me good (also not easy), the odds are strong that there will be a rainbow sticker on their back bumper real soon. Simple, effective, and easily removed.

LateNight72, I've done the large ziptie on driveshaft trick. Works great, especially if victim has a quiet new car. If all goes well, the victim takes it back to the dealership and the mechanic finds it while on the hoist.

Put confetti in the vents then crank the ac, stereo and wipers so when he jumps in it all goes at once. The confetti will come out bits at a time months later to rub salt in the wound.

The rainbow bumper sticker reminded me. In the early 80s Thee Doll House (boobie bar) used to put a bumper sticker on every car in the parking lot unless you put your visor down. It was local legend and everyone including girlfriends and wives knew about it.

A friend of ours had a syco jealous girlfriend. They needed to break up for his sake. Needless to say we put a bumper sticker from Thee Doll House on a friends bumper.

I guess it has been long enough I could tell him who did it now.

rewire the distributer cap on an old car. Not sure which wires we switched but it idled fine took the guy 100 yard run to get over the levee though. Would loose power under load was funny sounded good while he was revving it doing neutral drops to get over the levee.

My friends were always pulling car pranks on one another...thankfully I didn't get my license until they stopped.

One of the best pranks was when they put a custom license plate frame on a friends truck that read, "I like it up the [rear]". You can guess that I didn't write the actual 3 letter word that was on the frame. It was on Frank's 4x4 Scout for a few days until he noticed. He did get a lot of interesting looks while driving around town. He couldn't figure out why so many people were looking at him when they drove by.
The frame was a lot less noticeable when walking around the car...compared to a bumper sticker.

Vasaline under the door handles and bubble wrap under the tires is pretty harmless. Getting about 5 ounces of stick-on wheel weights and sticking it to the inside of the wheel is fun. We got dastardly and one time we took it too far and a parent got wind. After that it stopped. Then we moved onto pranking other people like the pizza guy, the late-night gas station worker, random people while cruising, ex-girlfriends that cheated, etc. I'll just say that dummies, water balloon launchers (weapon of choice), toothpaste, banners, TP, potatoes, sanitary napkins, and more made growing up in a small town a lot of fun. We didn't do drugs or drink. We just had a lot of fun...and somehow we never got in trouble. Those were the days. I should record a podcast someday about some of the antics we pulled.

This guy pranked a neighbor he had an issue with. He put an ad on Craigslist saying there'd be a wild soccer mom orgy/gangbang going on, and anyone was welcome. He then posted his neighbors street address. Brutal!

Sure, charges were brought up and all that...but what a prank!
