Go to every GM dealer until you find the one who knows how to locate parts. If you do the research and can find a part number it is helpful. Some dealers didn't throw away the part number update books and can find the new part number sometimes. It was common for GM to discontinue a part and give it a new part number.

The good thing is they don't have to be a chevy dealer or Pontiac dealer to get you a GM part, they all have the same access to the same parts unles they are the ones sitting on them in their stock. They actually have a system to check each others inventory if they want to and the dealers keep it up to date.

Good luck and find the right parts guy and stick with him and you will get more than you think from GM.

They seem to have what I need, IF their list is up to date and everything's in stock.

My recollection is that those guys are shysters and crooks. Best do a search on them before you send them your money.

Thanks for the heads up guys. I will keep looking. I'll try a GM Dealer, but I don't hold out much hope unless they ship it from some other part of the country. These cars are exceedingly rare in my area and the junkyards have been smashing them for decades.
