      Pinion Angle

Just finished the motor plate tabs and dropped the motor and trans. in the car, i also have a tubular crossmember ready to be put in. Any ideas or suggestions as to what the ideal pinion angle should be? I intend to drive the living hell out of this car. I have a magnetic angle finder and a welder . I have read that 2-3 degrees of pinion angle is ideal for a street car, but am curious if there is another number i should consider for a car that will really be put to the test. Thanks in advance.

Whatever nets you the proper u joint working angles. I'd be looking for 1-2 degrees of working angle for smooth high speed operation.
