Noticed that after reading a post in a thread, and then go back (after opening a thumbnail) oops, it takes me to the very last post in the thread and not to the post from where I opened the thumbnail???

Yup. Check the url in the addy bar when you go back - if it's got a specific post number in it then you clicked the "view first unread" when you came to the post in the first place or the little arrow next to it in the list (or the name in Most Recent).

Example: First unread in this post right now (before I posted this) was https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/sh...3412#post53412

where without first unread this post is
https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6835
