      Dyno day

Did a dyno session to validate my latest cam change. Not too shabby...but I dare not press the Gen 1 block any harder. 625 rwhp/595 rwtq.

Honey, I don't know how those black marks got on the driveway....

Wow, nice steady curve, should be fun running through the gears with those numbers.

Your air/fuel looks lean for forced induction?

The probe was out of calibration. It as reading 1 to 2 points leaner than actual on everyone's runs.

Video of the pull. Note the tire smoke at the end of the pull....

Great numbers, should be a blast. What was the old cam and how did the new one affect idle and sound?

The old cam was 230/236/114*, with a little less lift. Really a mistake given the 114* LSA. Comp. Cams did a no-cost upgrade. The idle was way too mellow for my taste. Now it sounds a little more like a muscle car, with some ass to back up the sound. I wonder how much the tire slippage cost me on the dyno? I have to admit, I'm approaching excessive power levels..ha ha

Speaking of excessive power levels, what's the rear end? Is it still the IRS? Heavily modified I would assume?

Yes, still stock IRS. I'll beef it up with good axles this winter..(or sooner if it blows). So far, street tires have spared it. Now that I have drag radials..... It's my version of an IED...
