What size AN hose for radiator?

I'm using a true 16AN top radiator hose on my car, and would like to convert the bottom as well.
Not sure what size i need to use...16 AN seems a little small, so maybe a 20 (but then I can't use black fittings/nylon braided hose that I have on top). Anyone have experience/done this?

I don't know your application but normally the lower hose is slightly larger than the top hose. I'm sure GM engineered it that way on purpose. 20an might be to small.

I've seen some use -24 for bottom and -20 for top.

I spoke to Meziere and my waterpump (chevy small block) inlet fitting is basically designed for 20AN, so I should be ok using a 20 AN on the bottom.
