      Corvette Calipers

No expert take this for what its worth. Working on my buddy's semi-track car, sees a lot of street use. Has C6 calipers. Was seeing some fade and we upgraded fluids and working on getting some air to the brakes. Brake people told him part of the problem was that the newer Vette calipers have aluminum pistons. They transfer heat too well and like to heat up the fluid pushing them. Hmmm. Sold him stainless pistons. Seemed to work better. They were in fact aluminum and now make great places to mix paint, drive in seals and other various tasks.

      Hype, or valid point?
