      New guy from Missouri

Howdy. I've been registered for awhile but for some reason haven't posted. I'm a GM G-body guy and have been playing with Monte SS's for about 10 years now. Current projects are an 88 SS, and an 80 Malibu. Had the SS for a few months when it was stolen, stripped, and recovered. Spent the next 5 years restoring it and adding a few upgrades. Basic 350/vortec/xe268 engine still gets 20mpg on the hwy. Hotchkis suspension with the B-body spindle swap up front. 17x9 ZR1 wheels with 275/40/17's all the way around. It's a nice driver/show car.

The Malibu was my grandfather's car. The 229/200c/2.29 gears had to go right away. Current drivetrain is a 383/2004R/3.73's. Lots of Monte SS bolt-ons, and 4th gen Fbody seats. It will get the full resto someday when I'm motivated.

Looks like a nice site so far.

If you’re suggesting sending men with weapons of war to take my weapons of war, then I’m fairly certain that’s what’s called an act of war… and the definition of tyranny.which coincidentally is the reason for the second amendment to begin with!

      Hi Brian,
Welcome aboard. The malibu I am building came from St. Joseph. Sounds like it came with the same driveline as yours. I found it on ebay, flew out and drove it home. Small world. Post some pictures, we love pictures around here.
Oh yeah, enjoy the ride here.

Thanks for posting the pic Piet. I'll get some better quality ones when the weather turns around.
