I have not received my Tru Turn arms yet. As soon as they come in I will take pics and put them up here.

Having dealt with both companies I would go with Ridetech in your situation.

You wouldn't happen to know the length of the stock upper and lower rear control arms would you? I need a starting point for the new ones. I had lift bars and adjustable uppers which aren't even close.

Measurements I made some years ago to the UCA and LCA pivot points indicate 19" for the LCAs and 10.96" for the UCAs, but I never measured the lengths of the arms directly. That was for an OE 7.5"/7.625" axle; a different axle converted to use the A/G-body suspension may need to use slightly different lengths if the axle side pickup locations don't match the OE 7.5" axle pivot positions in 3-D space exactly.

I need motivation to get this crap done!

Motivation and some knowledge would help......

Let me share this with you all........I have this weird thinking in my head when I am in the shop. I have no problem working on other peoples cars but when it comes to my car I am constantly over thinking stuff and second guessing myself. When I am alone in my shop I just get so distracted with the small things that the main project doesn't get done. I need serious kick in the butt...

Doug, I have been following your thread a long time but in all honesty I don't take time to read all if it. No offense, there just is nowhere near enough time in the day.

This post strikes a chord with me as I am very much the same way. You are not alone. Right now I lack any good advice but I will offer these two points. Nobody else is going to do it, and even if they did no one else is going to do it with the passion and desire that you will.

Perhaps if we made a deal to each take vacation time and go halfsies on a good cattle prod? I'll come stand guard with the prod watching for you to slack off and when you are back on the road you can come do the same for me?

paralysis by analysis. do your research and jump in. some stuff seems like more of a pain than it is.. others.. well.. complete opposite. you aint gonna learn if you dont do it though. so.. get to it.

Im in the exact same spot as you. Im converting my c4 from an auto to a 6 speed and Ive never even done a clutch before. Ill go out and tinker with small piddly junk and ignore the tranny sitting on the floor. I think it would help if someone was there just to talk to, and keep you company and from over thinking it might help.

You aren't going to believe this but I have been to TNT Race Shop. It is located about 5 miles from my house. They closed down a while back. I was unaware they reopened under a new name with different people. Crazy. Time to order parts!!! Thanks for the link.

Got my new UMI Performance rear suspension in. Thier new rear sway bar is not pictured here.

UMI Performance rear CrMo control arms, Billet Aluminum front sway bar bushing housings and Roto Joints for the rear end housing! This is some awesome stuff right here!! My rear suspension is finally top notch!

Wow is that some major bling! I have some UMI in my rear suspension and was really impressed with the customer service and quality. That ridetech front suspension is pure gold though!
