      UPDATE:

I finally have my automatic trans issues fixed!!! The most recent issue was that the trans would not shift down to first upon coming to a complete stop. The trans builder had me look at and clean the governor. That was not the issue. After taking the car to his shop they came to the conclusion that the throttle valve was "worn out". So they replaced that part and now everything seems good to go!

Here are pics of the 200-4r throttle valve:

So now that the trans is all fixed...it is time to take out the whole set up and put it up for sale.

      And now onto the suspension........

I got a shipment from UMI the other day...full of goodies!

Project SicMonte will now be running a front ridetech Tru Turn set up and a full rear UMI suspension and sway bars. I will also be running new ridetech TQ coilovers.

The UMI suspension will be custom satin black powdercoated for my project and a couple other custom upgrades will be announced later. I can't wait to get this stuff on my car...and finally get my car back onto the track!!

My mind is utterly boggled at the thought that a piece of steel with high-quality surface finish sliding in an aluminum bore that's under constant lubrication could somehow "wear out". Did they give you any details?

Naww, but then again I actually like rainy and wet track sessions.

So I drove my car one last time with the automatic to a local cruise in this past Saturday....good time and the car always gets attention. You don't see too many pro-touring autox cars in this area.

and on the way home I hear this big thud...like something fell off the car. I pull into a gas station..pop the hood and notice that my darn breather fell off! My buddy behind me started to laugh bc he ran over it and thought it was an animal. Well I went back and found the darn thing...and it is now on my wall of shame!

Random shots of the engine before the work begins.....

Now all the trans linkage is removed from the carb.

I truly am honored to have my car in the ridetech catalog representing g body's!!

I've said it once and I will say it again. I have had a bunch of different suspension components on/in this car. There has been no greater performance gain then from when I put on the ridetech HQ (Handling Quality, single adjustable) coil overs over two years ago. This year I am installing then Ridetech Tru Turn front suspension system along with their TQ ( Track Quality, triple adjustable) coil overs. I cant even imagine what they are going to do for me!!!! I can't wait.

So to the entire Ridetech crew...thank you for all that you do for me and the hot rodding/protouring community.

Bout time Doug!! Can't wait to see what you end up choosing for spring rates to go with the TQs on your car and how they work out for you.

Another piece to the t56 puzzle......

Does anyone know what to use as a cover to the actual shifter linkage? Not a shifter boot but like an inner boot to cover the open area??

This is what I plan on using. It's Ford part number 3R3Z-7277-AA. Should be pretty easy to fit to the tunnel, I haven't tried it yet though.

Did you get your tru turn control arms yet, was wondering how they looked. I have been trying to decide on either Detroit speed or ridetech. The ridetech arms don't look as beefy as the Detroit Speed arms, especially the uppers around the ball joint. Hard to tell just comparing pictures on the web. What cruise spot do you go to?
