Anybody have a source for custom built lower arms?

Since Katz is determined to get me divorced I might as well go out with a bang. I need stock configuration LCA's for a 68-72 "A" body BUT they need to be lengthened by 2". Any ideas besides building own jig and making my own?

You can call FatMan and modify them to your liking.

      Hey Denny,

I can get you a set made at the local stock car shop. They do that sort of thing quite a bit.

1.5" extra is a typical figure. They look like race parts though, not show parts. It might not fit in with the overall theme of your truck (wink, wink :-) ) They also have the shock mount relocated outside of the spring pocket which you should probably do anyway.

Unfortunately I can't really show you a picture of a set but the guy typically does nice fab work. No idea on price but it will probably be cheaper than anything else you're looking at.

Let me know if you're interested.

      Denny,

Flexi-Flyer sells 1" longer arms for '73 and up A-bodys. They might be a source for a custom arm??? http://www.flexi-flyer.com/main.php3?primNavIndex=1&

The flexi flyer arms are off of a Nova. They're an inch longer than the metric (G-body) a-arms if I recall. Most dirt modifieds are built on the metric frame. Should be 15.5 inches overall which is the same as our stock chevelle arms. These are off the top of my head so don't hold me to it. In any case, they won't give the desired effect for a 64-72 A-body but they would add width to an 80's G-body.

Good luck finding them in a junk yard though.

      Denny,

I'll check your PM's. I need to talk to you about some other stuff too.
