Holy wow. Well, I'm sorry for the WAY long overdue update. I'll throw up some more pictures of the nova up to date this weekend.

First off, thanks guys for keeping tabs! Lets us know that someone is watching.

The project ended going on halt till the end of fall(ish). TRACTOR PULLING SEASON!

BTW, this car belongs to Brian Deck, driver of "One Bad Apple" in the Super farm class. so if any of you watch tractor pulling events, keep your eye out.

We did get all of the metal work finished, and in primer, and it's looking good as ever!. Now it's just sitting sideways against the wall.

Now were keeping our hands dirty working on a pretty radical 38' ford business coupe, and going over the body fixing gaps/cracks on 80' vette thats going black, so were gonna get her as strait as possible!

But like I said, I'll keep everyone updated ASAP. Thanks!!!
      Tim

the roof had a few hail dents we pounded out, and then we sprayed it in primer.

and here she be as of now.

Well, its about that time again. Sorry for the long update, havent gotten too much else done with the '38 in the shop. We got the 38' into primer so were holding off on that for a while so we can get this done by summer. We just started on this again on monday, ordering away on parts were needing.

15 or 18 circuit painless wiring kit, full vintage air A/c kit with different compressor, and all new chrome. We did choose the wheels, which are Billet Specialties street lights. 15x10 3.5bs for the rears, and we just found out that BFGoodrich discontinued their 295/50/15. as far as the fronts go, what have some of you seen for a 15x6 or 7 and what backspacing? Were trying to get a bit of a "drag" look to it.

Welded on the cowls, took apart all the door hinges for a much needed rebuild, modified the rear seat back to clear the tubs, got the front clip finally bolted on, and the lower control arms, shocks/springs, are being sent off for coilovers. fit a spare 295/50/15 on a 10" rim to make sure it would fit, and theres about an inch of room all around still with uncut and un-rolled wheel lips, so thats the way were going to go, only if we find a good tire in that size.

front end is on, gaps and bodywork is done on the passenger side.

Wheels and tires in. Billet Specialties, 15x10 3.5 BS, 15x4. ended up going with MT's SR radials seeing how we couldnt find anyone who made matching sets of front and rear tires with the backs being 12ish inches wide. 26x12x15 rears. plenty of rubbing room.

We found this picture, and he said BUILD IT! haha, so were going to stick with this idea. the color is going to be really close to this as well. so this is now what were shooting for.

Nice project Tim! Everything is looking great. That's a nice red!

It's funny the two projects you are presently working on are the exact two cars I lost in a previous divorce...

      I SURE miss them!

      KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

      Thanks Bryce.

Wicked, thanks, and yeah, I want it lower too. We just mocked them up to get a width measurement for the housing to get sent off. We'll see how low we can get it to look good when we get it bolted under there. (still wish we could have done 17's!!!!!!)

And Ray, thats pretty sweet! I have just as many pictures of the work on the 38 that I do this. We just (hopefully) final primed it this last weekend. LOTS of metal work done. 1 pc grill, which I'm the most proud of, theres probably 80+ hours in just that. Even the top 15 or so grille pieces were cut off and pie cutted just to get the right contour. It will be a LONG time before ill be willing to do another one of those. haha. GET YOUR BUG DONE! haha I love that thing. Its crazy builds like that, that keep my mind churning and dreaming. now i just need someone with deep pockets, or a winning lotto ticket!!

Im hoping after we get the '38 done, i can pick up a friends 63 duce. Its already been 80% restored to original (6 banger) . TCI clip, DSE tubs, 4 link, and a LQ4! yes please!

Heres a few shots of the '38.

Halibrands... YUCK! Were starting on the interior right now, hoping to have the car done by March 22nd. Big car show!

Got the rear end back. 4 link is in and modified. The only thing we had to do, was drill out the very passenger hole in the panhard bar bracket, then we just moved it over a set of holes, then shortened the panhard bar. Pretty sweet!

Vintage Air sent us their AC sure fit kit. We opted for a bit of a cleaner look, so we welded in the plate instead of bolting. Now we just need to get a new hardline made. The one we have is for the original front stub, and it sticks out too far.

Also, we got the motor in. 406, Hyd. Roller, 533hp. ported pro comp heads, port matched victor JR. intake. For the front runner, we went with the full March Performance pulley setup. Super nice setup being that everything is mounted really low. We had to get the different smaller AC compressor for this kit.

Radiator is AFCO from Speedway motors, also a very nice piece, and for fans, were using two 10" jegs slim fans.

also, if anyone else is using this TCI 4 link kit, what are you doing for a full exhaust? About the only way we can see it possible, is to route the deal exaust underneath the pumpkin beings a dual 3" exaust doesnt look to fit well with breathing room between the coilovers above the axle.

Glad to see progress! All of your builds are looking good I especially like the nova. I am building a similar 63 II only with the TCI 3 link rear. Anyway keep the updates coming and glad to see that business is good.

      Thanks Draginutz,

The "pre" wiring is mostly done. Were re-routing alot of the wiring to "hide" alot more than the painless kit calls for. Now its time to rip it back out and plug the unused holes. After all that, its off to final prime, back to the shop, then we will be spraying the undercoating on it. From the sounds of it, we will most likely be going with Second Skin sprayon for the bottom, and the "dynomat" style stick on, on the top. That should make for a pretty quiet ride.

J@tci, do you have any full exhaust pictures with your 4 link kit? Or do you know of any kits that work with your guys kit? We planned on doing the simple cutout like that on the crossmember, but it just looks like it will get tight between the gas tank and the panhard bar/coilover bracket.

Our shop car still has the exhaust dumped at the axle so I don't have any pics here. However, both the Camaro and Mustang have over axle exhaust using the same panhard bar and a big tank.
