There is a pic in my PT Garage of some panels I did for my 67 Camaro. I used ABS panel and foam to create the design and fabricated a custom speaker pod out of 24 ga steel. They came out pretty good for a first time interior job! If u want to see a better pic let me know.

I do not, had no forethought @ the time. I did the panels about 2 years ago, got some tips from a place called Rod Doors online, they sell custom type kits for various model cars. @ the time they did not have one for the camaros, so I used flat Abs sheet spray glue and foam to make the contours. Then covered it, that was the fun part to get things smooth. I have to hand it to the guys that do this for a living, it takes time and patience. The speaker pods were easy I made those like 6 years ago out of steal, I am a body man so it was fairly easy to fabricate @ my shop. They are just screwed on from the back side of the trim panel, clean no fasteners seen. Good luck!

Check the link in my signature below for my 62 chevy II, did the whole interior myself (except the seats) few pics towards the bottom showing how I did it.

That is pure art! Do you have any tips for us garage mechanic types when were trying to do our own doors? Your work is always inspiring.

Use good quality materials,It helps alot.We use .040 aluminum for the base panels with metal clips to attach to the door.Learn how to fiberglass.Study work you like then figure out why you like it,Look at the shapes and angles and try and use it for your own look.

Has anyone used a button and a solenoid as the interior release... similar to the Corvette?

Here is a simple design,The hardest part was having the door pull machined
This has a button and solenoid

Wow nice work Tracey, just goes to show the difference between the pros and the joes! Makes my interior look weak. If you are on a budget though like I was it still looks better than the OEM interior IMO.

I agree on looking better than stock,There is nothing wrong with what I have seen on here by the homebuilders,The more you do the better you will get.I have 20 years in this trade so it makes it easy for me.Thought I would throw some pics up and get you guys thinking about colors and design
