I think the thing that has us home builders perplexed it the methods and materials. I know I have questions on what to use. What makes the best base to start with on a door panel or trunk panel? plastic sheet? 1/4 plywood? Something else? Whats the best method of attaching the panel to the car? I've seen Velcro used. Hidden fasteners like the old OEM pus in type? Layering door panels to cover some fasteners? Does the glue in a aerosol spray can really hold well enough? Is one brand of glue better then others? A big list of DON'T DO THIS would be helpful to keep from making timely and costly mistakes....

Aluminum base panels work for me,.040 bends easy and holds shape.
      Clips are posted above.
We use a glue that has to be sprayed out of a gun(we use cheap paint guns). If you want to use aerosol try 3m 8080 or something made for headliner and carpet that has a high temp hold

We attach the clips on the back side of panel with Fusor fast dry body panel adhesive. Now there is no bumps on front of panel to hide

I had my interior redone last year. This is for my 47 Ford so it may be more street rod than what you are looking for. But you never know where some inspiration can come from so I thought I would throw it out there.

I chose to go with tan Ultraleather and Ultrasuede. I love it. This is a design that my upholstery guy and I came up with together. The trim is original equipment from 50's era GM.

And here is how it looks with the seats in, although not completetly put back together. The arm rests are 57 Chevy!

Street Rods always have a lot of Ideas in them,Here is a few we have done over the years,Seems like tan is the most asked for color. These are on my website also,I like these pics because the images were shot by a pro,Josh Mishler.I also threw in a Camaro or two

      Tracy,

The more interior pics I see from you, the more I want to just send you my car to complete! I may be calling you when I reach that point. I'm very creative and hands on, but you really take it to the next level. Simply amazing work.
