      Open House

I didn't want to post right after Bill but I will be trailering my Nova on a small open trailer with a Tahoe.

I'm bringing the wife along and she can't handle more than 2 hours or so in the Nova. Plus she can't seem to pack light enough to fit her stuff in the trunk.

If you were stopping through St. Louis I could toss her in the trunk of the Charger. There should be lots of room in there.

A trailer is that thing you used to transport all your race tires out to Pahrump for the optima Event. Some people call the "car" haulers. You may be more familiar with "race tire" hauler.

Hey Phil, how do you get the finish on the framerails that you build? We are wanting to try to get the same finish on the rest of the crossmembers and such and just clear that pretty thing! Actually, I think it would look pretty cool with the different shades of steel and just cleared when you stick your head under the truck.

The tour of the Roadster Shop was very humbling. You look at the finished cars and think those are just amazing but have no idea how nice the work under the paint is. If I could do half the quality metal work they do I would never paint the car.

The shop is so nice and clean I feel the employee's should be paying them to work there. You will not meet a nicer group of guys and the fact they opened their doors for all of us and put on a fabulous meal just confirms they are top notch.

I also owe them many thanks for helping Yancy and I out by letting us work on our cars during the stop. I had a fuel pump starting to go out as well as a 3 inch screw I picked up a 100 miles earlier in one of my back tires. They found a pump that would fit and helped get it changed out as well as repaired my tire. I had no issues after that the whole weekend so really owe them big time as I could not have done what I did without them.

I hope to be able to return the favor someday and will continue admire and envy them for many many years.

Thanks again guys for a great time.

One of the highlights of the weekend. Every employee I talked with were enthusiastic, informative, and full of smiles. Its nice to see a place that treats their crew like part of the family. Oh, and the Italian food they catered in was excellent!! My thanks go out the the entire Gerber family and their staff.

I will reiterate some of the thoughts above - Phenomenal facility! Thanks to everyone involved at RS for putting this together. This was great way to start the weekend of events.

I think you may have had to wipe some drool off of the one Chevy II. I literally think I looked at it 20 times. I'd walk away, then I go back to look again.

      Roadster Shop

      Ditto the above.

It was great seeing the shop and checking out all of the cool projects and the production of the frames. Lots of investment there to produce some great looking frames. The custom work going on was really impressive. I can't wait to see that Charger when it's done. It's increadible how much sheet metal work is going on in there.

I hope we get to do the shop tour again next year.

Thanks for lunch and the time we took away from your production that day.

I didn't get to the shop as I also had issues on the way to the Face Off event but can certainly say it was a big pleasure to meet Phil and the guys up at the event it's self.... I'll look froward to dropping in on them in the future and look forward to seeing the Charger when it's done....

Thanks to everyone for attending and making the event a success. It was great to meet everyone and talk with people we only get to see a few times a year.

We are always willing to lend a hand to help get a car back ont he road. We have been stuck in similar situations over the years and this was a chance to return the favor.

Finch, if you are willing to pay to work here, you are in luck because I think we have a position open for you! I think that Kyle also put that screw in your tire to try to slow you down.

I'll try to get a few shots posted for those of you that ould not make the trip.

Overall a great weekend and great event. We will definitely be in for next years event.

      Thanks again,
      Phil

First off, I must say you will never meet a greater group of car builders better than Phil, Jeremy and Neal!
I thought for sure, they would never talk to Nick and I again after the cart racing...lol
They are truly world class car builders but humble in regards.
The Roadster Shop itself is truly amazing showcasing works of metal art, we call cars.
It's no wonder these guys are so successful, other builders should take note.
Thank you again for your help on the brakes and gracious Hospitality!
I look forward to seeing you guys at the Midwest Musclecar Change.

Check out the amazing Trophy they built for the Roadster Shop Performance Style Design award. To have my friend win this with Kryptonite was better than winning the event.
