LEDs Mounted in Headlamp Housing - Too Hot?

I have some regular #194 Blue Bulbs mounted in my headlamp housings now. When the car's is running and the headlamps are turned off the blue bulbs look really cool at night (especially at the local cruise ins).

I have been looking at replacing the #194 with a LED light but I have been told by a LED company the headlamps produce too much heat and will damage/burn out the LEDs.

Does anybody have any real time experience with mounting LEDs in the actual headlamp? Does anybody know of LEDs that will withstand more heat?

I know some may think it's silly mounting blue bulbs in the headlamps but on an all black car at night with a blue glow from the headlamps it looks pretty damn slick!

glow ring headlights and driving lights

We can get the headlights with different color glow rings and our driving light conversion kit for 69-73 Camaros has a single color glow ring or a 7 color LED ring. Billy

Well I would like to continue to use my 7" Hella Housings as they are superior housings. Thanks for the offer though man... Sounds pretty cool at least.

I just saw in PHR that Delta is making something. They have a light with city lights, directionals, DRL's and LED mood lighting.
