1969 chevelle conv. 565 twin turbo project

finally i am able to start a thread about my car and post some pics.i started out with what i thought was a nice 69 conv. body.soon after getting into it we decided to put a complete floor pan, quarter skins door skins and fenders.from there i ordered a roadster shop A-body chassis.i did not like how the chassis stuck out on the promotional chevelle they did so we added a custom section to the pinchweld area and lowered the looks of the body.i am very pleased with roadster shop and there chassis.next i had a all aluminum BBC sitting around from my race days and decided to use it.this is when i decided to go with tom nelson and get his twin turbo package and billet intake.this is what put me on hold for a year and you can read the thread "problems with getting my parts " if you want to.Mike gamble at Gambles street rods is doing most of the work on this car.he has done all of the fabricating and custom work. we assembled the entire car while we were waiting on all the parts to show up.while it was together i sent it over to John's auto body to have all the body work done and panels fitted.i did not want to paint it yet.i decided that after john was finished with the body work we would disassemble the car and start final assembly.i had the chassis powdercoated a metallic dark silver and accented the other parts in a light silver metallic. it turned out nice and i was pleased with the results.we are waiting on the engine to go in next.i went with a 5-speed tko and then sent it ti TKO extreme to have it updated.we will see how it holds up.the rearend is a 9" strange third member with 3:73 gears and a mark williams carbon fiber driveshaft. that is one sweet piece. i have been working on this for 2 years and forgot alot of people i had dealt with. the wheels are forgeline and i think i got them thru prodigy customs.radiator thru ron davis.

      .

i decided to put the car together and chassis dyno it before paint.it is alittle extra work but i think it will pay off because i am no turbo guy yet.it is all new to me. all my cars are correctly restored to factory specs. so this is something different and i need a change from stock appearing cars. i am going to download pics right now and post them. greg
