      coys c5 brake clearance

I would like to know what brake setups will work with coys c5's. I would like to go with 18" wheels and an oem based brake setup. Hopefully C6 ZO6 brakes will work but if not maybe a hybrid setup of some kind.
      Thanks,
      Jake

I have kore 3's z51 kit on my car front and back with coys 18 inch and it just clears with a flush mount valvestem, but not with the valvestem cap on .and wont work with the valvestem in the pic.

The Z 06 brakes wont work with the Coys wheels you need a larger pad clearance than what they offer. the C5s will work.

If you look in the DSE catalog, Chuck Hanson's chevelle has baer pro plus 14" system in the front, that's also found from his showroom page on Team Chevelle. First off I didn't realize that the coys valvestem was behind the spokes. I've never had any wheels like that, it seems that it wood be a PITA to adjust air pressure. Also if you get on baer's site you cant find a clearance template for the pro plus or even a T4 system the only one that is on their site is the extreme plus. BMX1112, what is required to add air to your front tires? I would also like to see a pic of your front brake setup. IIRC, the Z51 rotors are 13.4" in dia. ?
      Thanks

They are the z51 13.5 rotor up front with the regular c5 caliper the valve stems you fill by threading in an adapter and then fill and remove the adapter.

for the c6 z06 brakes you need a pad on the front wheel of 2'' to clear w/ .250 of room .and the rear is going to need a pad of 1.75 w/ .250 room. hope this helps
