Mating ZF S6-40 trans to LS-2 Motor

Has anyone put the ZF 6 speed behind an Alum 6.0 LS motor. I have the motor out of an 04 Escalade and a new ZF 6 speed but am running into problems finding a bell housing that will work with 168 tooth flywheel.
The stock bell won't accept the big wheel that the 6.0 uses and I don't know if they make a starter with the right offset to accomodate the smaller wheel.
I talked to Bill at ZR-51 and he said you needed to use the T-56 bell housing with an adapter plate $600, a longer input shaft in the trans $600, and $600 to install and optimize the trans.

I am looking for a cheaper solution and I will find one just don't know how long it will take.
Hoping someone has already run this rabbit.

This set up is going in our 69 Camaro.

uh no way. The T56 is a brute. The ZF is silk and just as tough.

Quicktime makes a bell housing for the ZF. This should work for you. http://www.quicktimeinc.com/products.html

Scroll down to RM-6039 for info. Says you'll have to buy it through Rockland Standard Gear though

Keep the ZF...dump the Tremec. Quicktime makes the bellhousing. It work great in Velocity and my GSX.
