      mopar alignment

well, im finally going to start working on my duster again.

its got a mostly stock based suspension, only rear difference being the adjustable strut rods.

i have been ddoing my own alignments on mcpherson strut cars and GM shim style cars for a while now. not used to eccentrics and strut rods.

      few questions:
      1. what specs should I shoot for? i was thinking 3/4 degree negative camber, 4 or 5 degress positive caster, and zero toe. what do you think? the reason i picked this is thats what i have in my truck right now, and i love it.

      2. whats the procedure for this alinment? im thinking: set camber with eccentrics, then caster with the strut rods, finishing up with toe. do i have to worry about ride height being exactly equal side to side, or is 1/4 inch acceptable?

thanks for any help and advice you can pass my way.

Those alignment specs look good, but you probably won't get them with stock upper control arms. The eccentrics and strut rods don't have enough adjustment to get good caster and camber while being at a good ride height.

Specs look okay, if you can get them there.

You are going to have to balance the camber/caster adjustments because as you add caster, you loose camber. The adjustable struts will help some, but even they have limits.

For $30, you can get offset upper control arm bushings that will give you more range of adjustment.

Yes, you want the ride height to be as close as possible on both sides. With the adjustability of t-bars, getting them exact shouldn't be any trouble.

Here's the Moog p.n 7103 upper control arm bushings.

I got 1.0 neg camber, 4.5 pos caster, and 1/16" toe in with those bushings, stock UCA's, and stock strut rods with the rear poly strut bushing and inner sleeve cut down 3/16".
