      69 Camaro Grills

Was wondering what is the difference between a silver and a black grill on 1969 Camaros. What grill goes with what option? Thanks, TZ

Body paint colors usually made the color decision unles it was special ordered.

I thought that the silver was only on the Z-28 models.

      Grille Color
      Model non-RS | RS
      ------------ ----------------
      SS black* | black*
      Z28 silver | black*
      All else** silver | black*
      --------------------------------
      * except Tuxedo Black exterior, which
      always received a silver grille.

Not to hijack thread, but will a 69 grill fit in a 68?

No ! A 67 and 68 can be made to fit each other since the sheetmetal shape is the same but a 69 is all on it's own .

I've seen some grilles painted body color.
I'm not sure if that's correct..
