      1969 1/2 Maverick Resto-Mod

Technically, it's a 1970 introduced mid-year of '69. Some small changes to the dash make the '69 1/2 unique to the '70 and up model years. Mine was actually assembled in September of '69.

I believe this car was sitting in a junk yard (or a back yard similar to a junk yard) for many years resulting in all the low areas rusting to nothing. The dash and anything else plastic was also dry rotted and would crumble in your hands.

So, for $150 it was the perfect candidate for a resto-mod pro touring car that I've been thinking of.

My dad and uncle used to have a '69 1/2 maverick that they put a boss 302 into, and that used to be their street racer, so I've kind of always wanted one myself. Anyway, good to meet everyone!

About time you make the jump over hear. Lots of cool projects around. I wish mine was a 69.5. Most of them time when people walk up and start the conversation off with "what year is it?" they tend to think its a 60 something. I've never bothered to ask what they thought it was but... funny anyways.

How many Maverick are we up to on this site? 4-5???

And what suspension upgrades did you have to do to the backseat?

Hello I am new to the board as well, I owned a 71 Mavrick 250 6cyl 3spd auto, and it chirpped 2 gear. any way this was back like 25 years ago, they are cool for a ford... Well any way good luck with the project.
