I always enjoy opening boxes of parts. Feels like Christmas no matter what time of year.

I haven't nailed down all the specs for the engine yet, but the plan is to drop the compression a little, change the camshaft and put a sheet metal fuel injected manifold on it. once i have the body back on the frame and i send it off to my Buddie who is doing the body work I'm going to focus on the engine and trans and figure out all the details

Well had some time to work on the Chevelle today, started to trial fit the front suspension. Have to cut some material out of the spring pocket area to make room for the air bag.

Got one side almost done, just need to clearance a little more in a few spots and clean up the cuts I made.

I love a nice Chevelle. That rendering looks fantastic. The rims really add to the aggressive look you are after.

One day I will have to build a Chevelle with a HUGE big block. Its just cool

Do you remember how much the Soda blasting cost?

Just finished test fitting the front sway bar, had to drill and tap a hole into the frame for the ridetech bar. kinda makes me a little nervous since there was only enough material to get like 3 1/2 to 4 threads.

Now i need to figure out my air line and internal sensor wire routing. anyone got any suggestions?

so here some more pics for all you picture whores...

Any thought to drilling an access hole on the botom of the frame and putting a nut on the back side of your sway bar mounts?

Not a bad Idea.....Now that i think about it, if I were to put a small slot in the side of the frame next to were the bolt is. I could get a wrench in the with a nut on it and a lock washer.

      Thanks for the Idea.....

From a structural integrity standpoint, a hole in the botom may or may not be better? Im sure someone with engineering knowledge may chime in. I was thinking a round hole would let you use a socket and extension to push a nut and lock washer (held with a little glue or tape) up to the bottom of the bolt.

Well if you look at the frame, the factory already has numerous holes and slots everywhere. I dont think one additional slot about a 1/2 wide by 3/8 tall would make any real difference in the structural integrity of the frame.

Well made a little progress today, got the slots in the frame for accessing the backside of the front sway bar bolts and got the passenger side front brakes trial fitted, I still need to play with the shims and get the caliper centered over the rotor. but it feels real nice actually putting things on, even though i will have to take them on/off again numerous times before I'm actually done. I will be Ordering my strange S-60 rear end next Friday so in a few weeks I will hopefully have all the suspension on and can start looking at brake line/fuel line routing.

and now for all you picture whores......
