      New guy here, sorta...

      Hi PT.com members,

SoCal here. I was poking around sometime after Thanksgiving and found this site. Then I found Lateral-G. After owning a 70 Camaro in my younger days and then selling my 68 back in 2003, that's all it took to get me back in the game. That and a subscription to Camaro Performers.

I called a buddy in the middle of a 67 resto-mod and got some budget numbers from him. Then I scoured eBay for months and took delivery of a 68 roller in Jan. Since then I've ordered too much stuff from Frank (he's prob sick of my calls), found a fabricator (wish I was a good welder), got in touch with an old dragcar buddy engine builder (he knows how to make LS hp!), and found an old hot rodder that does finish paintwork.

Of course, I'm already way over budget and I spend way too much time on this site and the girlfriend thinks I'm a Camaro addict (she's right). The only good news is I finally cleaned out the garage!

I'll post some pics as soon as I get out of suspension fab and there's
something to look at. Can't wait to see my 68 mini tubbed DSE Quad rolling around without brakes on 15" Craigers!

Anyway, thanks to the friends I've made, to all who've helped so far and to those who've done such an awesome job on their builds. I am truely inspired.

I'll see you at an event one of these days. Hopefully with a car...

      Ron

Thanks Kev. It should be a fun one.

Like I said, I'll be sure to get some pics up and earn my stripes. Then I'll post lots of questions about things like -- AC, rollbars, the best exhaust for my setup, etc..
