      1968 Mustang Fastback

We started this project years ago for a customer who wanted to build an Eleanor from a very rusted out Mustang. We worked on it on and off and than the customer lost interest and I bought it back.

We had to replace the right frame rail and decided to go to a Rod & Custom front end

We had to replace all the sheet metal

      More photos soon

First thing we stripped everything down to bare metal and replaced the rusted area with new metal

Epoxy primed the skeleton and took it to a car show.

It was our yearly Mustang Club of Tampa's show and I figured no one had ever seen a Mustang without sheet metal. I had the Eleanor hood on it.

Nice work on the clean up!
Are you going to go ahead with the Eleanor style?

We did away with the drip rails and welded a patch at the body seam area where the factory had lead.

I hope the interior fits over that. Good looking restoration. I was reading a thread the other day. Watch out though, you have a lot of Eleanor haters on here. I personally like the look of them.

Good lookin sheet work my friend!! But I have a question. Won't that scoop just effectively cool your tires? Your mini tub job alludes to big meats, which means that that hose would have to go into the inside surface of the tub to get any air to the brakes at all. Just looking and thinking. I'm lovin this and your 68 coupe!
