Awesome car. It's coming along nicely. Don't see too many '66-'67 Oldsmobiles being modded. Keep up the good work.

      Lee,

Was this originally an automatic with column shift that you converted to floor shift? If so, is that a shifter from a 66/67 Cutlass an are you going to drop an original console between the M3 seats?

      Rob,
The car is an original floor shift. What you see is what the shifter looks like with the console removed. I would be more than happy to send you pics and dimensions of the console.

Wow, you're console looks awesome. Mine is pretty sad. The hinge is broken so I've got the lid stashed in a box. It's always pretty far down on the list of things to do so I've just left it alone. Your pic makes me want to go pull it out and start working on it.

Thanks Mike. My console looks decent, but I need to take it apart and clean it and replace some of the screws and the hinge. I'm like you though, this thing is pretty far down on the list!

Thanks for the pictures, Lee. I'm torn between installing a 67 console and shifter that I already have, or biting the bullet and paying big bucks for a 66 cutlass and shifter to keep it original-looking. I like the idea that parts seem much more readily available for the 67-69 console/shifter than the rare 66. Plus I kinda like that the 67 console armrest/lid sits higher, and looks to be more comfortable for the driver. But that 66 console and shifter sure looks cool!

Here are some pics of the mounting points for my M3 seats.
Driver's side--pic taken from driver side door:

      Interior mounting bracket:

      Left front mounting point (exterior/outside):

      Left rear mounting point (exterior/outside):

Side pic of left rear (exterior/outside) mounting point:

This work was done by a professional (i.e. NOT me!). There are 5 mounting points for the seats so I had the guy provide for all 5 points (2 inside, 1 outside front, and 2 outside rear). The seat is attached via 5 bolts that screw into the floorpan from inside the seat rails.

Progress has been slow this summer. I finally painted my ATS steering arms and got some steering components in from Napa and Rare Parts Inc. I highly recommend Rare Parts for their professionalism, technical knowledge, and customer service. I would only recommend Napa ONLINE, if they were the last and only parts supplier left on the planet----totally incompetent!

Very nice. I just couldn't see dropping the money for a rack, and I have been totally satisfied with my Lee 670 box.

      Mike ,

what kind of PS pump do you have? I need to figure out how to mount mine, since my car was manual steering originally.

Sorry for the late response. Haven't checked the thread in awhile. I have the stock pump from the '75 Cutlass my 350 came out of, so it was already mounted. Lee set it up for the pressure/flow from it and it works awesome.

No problem. I'm having a bracket made for the TC pump I got from Lee.
