      LCD advice

Looking at getting a flat panel LCD for the bedroom. Viewing distance is approx. 12-15ft. I really like the LG 32LH30. One question I have is do I really need 1080p for a 32" and non HD channels (will have Blu-Ray though). I hear the LG's have audio sync problems but possibly a fix. I am really looking for an HD 32"ish LCD under $450. Will there be a noticable difference between 720 and 1080 an such a small screen at that distance? 720's are obviously cheaper which is better but if I am going to spend around $400 I want the best I can get. I am comparing this to the 50" Sony Bravia LCD with HD I have in the living room. Thanks.

At 12-15 feet, you're going to find a 32" LCD to be pretty small. I've got a 46" Sony LCD in the living room viewing at 15' and I'm thinking I didn't go big enough.

On a 32 I think you'll be fine with 720P. I use a 720P 26 inch at 8 feet, and the resolution is fine for that distance and screen size, a 32 will have smaller apparent pixel size at 15 feet so you should be good. If this were used for more than the evening news though a bigger TV would be good, my 26 at 8 feet away is marginal, I wish I'd gone with a 32.

42 inch and under 720p is all that is needed. 1080 will be ok but unnecessary. blu-ray will look great on a 720p set. like was said above, 32 inches at 15ft is kinda on the small side. get a 42inch plasma for 550 bucks (panasonic). lot more tv for the money. i have a 43 inch pioneer plasma in my bedroom at 13ft and its fine.

Try this place, I have a Visio 32in 1080p and only paid $299. Now just to tell you how honest these guys are they found my wallet in the store and even after hours one of the guys in the store brought it back to my shop!
I was looking into a new TV to get rid of my old CRT flat screen Sanyo,I have had 2 Sanyos in last 9 yrs and never had an issue but was hoping going LCD would get me digital reception where I live as box wasnt helping.
Well great tv just no reception.
And I just dont see why they are so high.
these are all the ones damaged in transit, broken by purchaser, simple returns etc. They get repaired right in Bloomington Indiana and then either taken to the store or sold online.
