Summit Legend 5 wheels - anybody using them?

Wow, good looking and super cheap - $135/ea! They even have tons of backspacing on their 17x8 (5.25"), just what I need for the rear. The front I'd be running a 17x8, 4.5" BS. 245/45 Nitto 555 tires on all 4 corners.

Anybody running them on their ride that wants to admit it? I've come to the conclusion that high dollar wheels are not an option for me in the near future.

I'm not but if you run those bs numbers your front wheel will have a deeper lip and look funny compared to the rear.

That's what fits according to my measurements.

Would 3/4" really make that much of a difference visually?

I just ordered a set. It's hard to pass up that cost, and I wanted to upgrade from 14" rally 2's. Hope they work out.

I want to see if they suck or not... kinda hard to find that out if nobody has them yet.

I'm also wondering about the above post about different lip widths... 3/4" doesn't sound like that much, but it may look awful in person.

Heck, post pics now and when you have tires mounted and when they are on your car!

I'm interested to see if the stock picture for Summit is a true representation of the wheel, or if the center paint is lighter or darker in color.

Once we know the weight, perhaps TonyL can add to the sticky. I wonder about the Year1 wheels too. Although not real wild about there new 'interpretation' of the 2nd gen wheel, it's an affordable entry to get some 17"s for larger brakes.

Well, all that I could find was a cell phone for these pics. 25 lbs, 17 x 8, 4.5" BS.

Well, those look better than the pic from the catalog, I like how they rounded out the centers, the older pic shows some bumps out from the lugs.
      Really a nice deal.

I like them. I wouldn't be concerned about the different lip width. People run different sizes front/rear all the time.

Is 25 lbs considered heavy for a street going wheel?

Wow, those look really nice! Too bad Summit recently axed all their 10% internet discount codes...

Lots of people on other forms bitchin' about Summit discontinuing the 10% discount.
