      TR6060 & LS3 into a 69 Camaro

Anyone have any comments or used the TR6060 trans yet? Know if it's a P.I.T.A. to deal with / install in an F-Body? This is sorta a repeat of a previous post of mine but I'm hoping for a little feedback before dropping any coin on a trans. I want to keep it a 6 speed and try to keep it as simple as possible AND not break the Bank in the process.
      Again, Thanks for any replys.
      Marc

You don't want to mess with a TR6060 (one out of a new car).. the remote shifter deal would be a PITA and there are other issues.

Now they do make a T56 Magnum which is the aftermarket version of the TR606.. that's what I have in my car.

Is that what you were refering to?

No, not exactly but I'm willing to consider any option. The TR6060 i mentioned is being offered at a very good price, $1,500 and thought I might be able to shoe horn it in.

It might.. but as you can see it's quite different.

The bellhousing is integral to the trans, that's not a big deal since you're putting it behind an LS3.

The remote shifter would be.. a challenge...

The way the driveshaft mounts to the TR6060 is different as well.. not the typical "yoke" deal.

I suppose it's possible, but hard enought for Tremec to offer a seperate aftermarket version (the magnum).. what is the TR6060 out of?

Here's the one out of a new Camaro.

The TR6060 I'm looking at is also out of a 2010 Camaro.

Then what you see above is what you'll have to contend with.

Think about the shifter arrangement and consider how you will mount a driveshaft.

The crossmember mount also looked to be different from the T56 Magnum.

Does not appear easy to incorporate into an F-Body Always a choise between $ and labor.
