      very sweet car!!!

I have some great memories of a school buddies' 69 or 70 Gran Prik. Tire roasting and gas guzzling for sure!

Boy, this thing sure brings back some memories...

My sister had one of the these (same medium blue exterior, white interior) when I was in High School (roughly 1976...) and I would take it all around town and beat the sh*t out of it!! I couldn't count how many times I would put the car in reverse and get going about 20-30mph in reverse and throw it in Low and leave the LONGEST V-shaped black marks ALL over town... My buddies and I would compete with our sacrificial cars (whatever we could get our hands on...) and see who could leave the longest V's on the asphalt...

That 400cu in/TH400 drivetrain was a VERY strong combination...

I am really happy you're sharing this car with the board. I had a 71 GP as a senior in College. Another guy a couple of years earlier had a 71 with a tri-power installed. Awesome car.
I'm really getting pumped to start working on my own 72. I may be creating some Fiberglass front end parts such as a hood, bumper and fenders.

I remember this car. I think gforce posted some pics of it a few years back when they first started working on it.
